‘Turning the Figure on its Head’
(or not!)
The Class:
An experience with traditional & non traditional art methods through the lens of our isolation; using materials at hand, such as: ballpoint pen, household materials, as well as all art media when available, drawing, painting, collage & mixed media, including 3D.
Class Content:
I will guide participants through demonstrations of new techniques and practice while encouraging the independent development of personal ideas and imagery. We will be working from models, human & animal photographed by me, and other sources. Absolute freedom to develop images figuratively or non figuratively. Group interaction and sharing of art work will play an important part in each participant's experience.
Times, Cost & Methods:
How: taught using Zoom and can be accessed on phone, computer or iPad.
When: Monday's & Wednesday's 6 to 8pm
(times can be adjusted with the consent of the whole group.)
Starting: Wednesday September 2
Ending: Wednesday November 18
Cost: $20 per two hour session

Adult Tutorial Class
Saturdays 1:30pm to 4:30pm
This is a tutorial group in which artists and art students bring to the group projects that they are working on and which they want to pursue. Guidance is given on an individual basis in direct relationship to the needs and interests of each individual participant, thus enabling artistic development on both beginner and advanced levels. Instruction and guidance is geared toward the natural direction and creative expression of each participant. The common ground within the group is that each person is progressing on their own creative and artistic trajectory.
Areas of study can include, the development of visual perception and imaginative exploration through all aspects of drawing, painting, mixed media and design, using a variety of media, including both figurative and abstract concepts.

Color & Tone, an Experiential Workshop 2017
This is an amazing workshop for any painter. Perfect preparation for those planning to take the following ‘Figure Painting” workshop. Juliette will lead you on a creative journey which will give you a thorough understanding of the use of tone and color relationships, mixing colors, building forms and constructing space through an understanding of color dynamics.

9 hours of working from the model in oils with instruction from one of Dallas’ best figure painters. Develop strategies for constructing figurative forms in space while developing your ability to see clearly when working from observation. Also, develop general strategies for working in oils, color mixing and compositional dynamics.

Chaos into Structure: Explorations into Creativity 2018
Workshop participants will be led through a number of exercises and artistic explorations that are designed to spur creativity and develop sensitivity to a visual arts vocabulary. Learn strategies to bridge the gap between outer reality and the world of inner imagination and fantasy; kick start your ‘out of the box’ thinking.
